Weather Outfit provides weather-based clothing recommendations and travel packing suggestions. This page explains how the website handles information and what is not yet enabled.

Information you provide

When you search for a destination, select clothing preferences, or plan a trip, the site processes those inputs in your browser to generate recommendations. The site may store certain preferences and packing-list checkmarks in your browser’s local storage to remember your choices. Local browser storage is normally tied to the device and browser; you can clear it using your browser settings.

Location and weather

Weather requests use Open-Meteo services, including geocoding. The city you enter, or coordinates when you explicitly allow browser location access, may be sent to those services to retrieve weather information. Browser location access is optional. Requests also expose technical connection information, such as an IP address, to service providers as a normal part of Internet communication.

Hosting and site operation

The website is hosted on Netlify, which may process technical request data to deliver pages and maintain security and reliability. If you send a message through the Contact form, the information you enter is submitted to the website’s form-processing service and used to respond to your request. Please do not include sensitive personal information.

Google Analytics and advertising

Staging status: In the current pre-launch build, Google Analytics and Google AdSense scripts are disabled while consent management is configured. They are intended for potential future use, but this policy will be updated before those services are activated. If enabled later, advertising and analytics providers may use cookies or other identifiers in accordance with applicable consent choices and their policies.

Cookies and consent

Essential browser storage used to remember your interface settings may operate independently of advertising. Optional advertising and analytics are not currently enabled in this staging version. For further details see the Cookie Policy. Before any future advertising launch, we plan to implement an appropriate consent management platform, including an option to review or withdraw consent where required.

Third-party services

Services relevant to the operation of Weather Outfit include Netlify (hosting and potentially forms) and Open-Meteo (weather and geocoding). Google Analytics and Google AdSense are planned services; their tags are disabled in this pre-launch build. Service providers may have their own privacy notices and retention practices.

Your choices and questions

You can decline optional geolocation, choose to enter a city manually, clear saved site data, and contact us with questions through our Contact page. To request information about site data or ask privacy questions, use the Contact page. Before advertising is activated, this policy will be revised to describe the active advertising and analytics configuration and any additional rights and disclosures required in your region.
