The travel wardrobe guide
What to Pack for 10 Days in Europe
Build a compact ten-day Europe packing list for city breaks, train travel and changing conditions.
Plan for different cities
Europe has many climates, so the route matters more than the continent. A coastal stop, an inland city and a mountain day trip may all feel different, even in the same week.
Build a small mix-and-match wardrobe
Pack roughly five or six tops, three bottoms, ten or eleven underwear sets, several pairs of socks, one smart-casual combination and layers you can combine. Adjust the quantities if you expect to do laundry.
Shoes and transport days
Choose a comfortable walking pair for cobblestones and long sightseeing days. A second pair can help if you expect rain or a dressier occasion, but bulky duplicates take up space.
Use forecast windows carefully
Check each destination separately. Weather forecasts are limited in how far ahead they can reliably predict conditions; for dates beyond the available horizon, use flexible layers rather than pretending to know exact temperatures.
A flexible 10-day example
If you can wash clothes once, you may not need ten different outfits. Try a small set of pieces that work together.
- 5–6 everyday tops and 2–3 bottoms
- 1–2 warm layers that fit under your coat
- Comfortable walking shoes; optional second pair for a different activity
- Underwear and socks for the days between laundry stops
- Weather protection suited to the cities you will visit
- Chargers, travel documents, toiletries and any personal essentials
Check each stop, not just your first city
Weather can vary across destinations and travel dates. Check each city shortly before your visit. If the forecast only covers part of your trip, treat the rest of your packing list as a starting point rather than a prediction.
Make your own weather-aware packing list
Enter your destination, travel dates and cold sensitivity. Weather Outfit builds a practical checklist using available forecast data, without inventing future weather.
