What to Pack for a 7-Day Trip

A flexible seven-day packing list that keeps your luggage manageable without ignoring weather changes.

Start with your itinerary

For a week away, count the days you will be walking, dining out, working, or spending time outdoors. You do not need a different outfit for every day: build a small set of pieces that can be mixed and repeated.

A practical seven-day clothing checklist

Consider four to five tops, two or three bottoms, seven to eight sets of underwear, enough socks for your footwear, one sleepwear set, one everyday pair of shoes and an extra pair only if your plans require it. Include a light layer even in warmer seasons.

Check the actual forecast

Look at daily highs and lows, how cold it feels, chance of rain and strong winds. A sunny afternoon and a chilly evening can require very different layers.

Leave room for flexibility

If laundry is available, pack fewer duplicates. Choose comfortable footwear you have already worn and leave a little room for wet or dirty items on the return journey.

Use this as a starting point, then adjust for your plans and laundry access.

What to wear on travel days

Wear your bulkiest comfortable layer while travelling if that makes sense for the journey. Keep a spare top and any essentials you may need in an easy-to-reach bag. If you can do laundry during the week, you can pack fewer tops and socks.

Make your own weather-aware packing list

Enter your destination, travel dates and cold sensitivity. Weather Outfit builds a practical checklist using available forecast data, without inventing future weather.
